Blogging is stupid

The Navel-Gazing Hall Of Shame

The intensely Me-Centered format of blogs naturally give rise to some of Humanity's worst cases of narcissism since Emperor Nero of Rome.

"But this posting is not about Babe Ruth It's about Robert Scoble who has hit it out of the blogosphere park more times than most people can even dream about." - Shel Israel, who's collaborator on his book Naked Conversations is... Robert Scoble.

This is a maneuver known as Self Congratulation En-Passant. One can imagine Robert Scoble in the corner, polishing his nails on his sweater and gushing, "Oh you're too kind! Oh you kill me, really you do! No no, it's all you, really!"

Read the rest of the post and you can almost hear the dramatic orchestral score swelling in the background.

Well maybe some people think implied inferiority is repulsive, and that's why they aren't interested in Getting ItTM
